Students learned techniques for creating value with charcoal pencils. Students studied different types of bugs and insects and created charcoal drawings in a variety of sizes to form a complete composition.
Students studied the color wheel and learned about primary, secondary and tertiary colors. Students created original color wheels showing all colors on the color wheel.
Students studied the artworks of Wassily Kandinsky. Students learned techniques for creating value in drawings and the differences in geometric and organic shapes. Students created original geometric drawings using a variety of lines, shapes, planes, and value.
